In this page you will find information on my key experiences during the Learning, Design and Technology (LDT) Program. I hope they can somehow be insightful to you.
LDT PROJECT: DESIGN DATA
Design Data is a web-based learning experience which aims to democratize the learning of foundational data science concepts and practices.
Working on this project with Sedinam, my project partner, was a unique opportunity to develop my teamwork skills. Besides, we had the chance to redesign how adult learners without programming skills are introduced to data science, which gave me the chance to learn more about the design of contextualized learning experiences in Data Science Education.

some Additional Projects
BUILDAGRAM
Buildagram is a 3-D construction set that combines the creativity of free play with the structure of geometry, enabling learners to take two-dimensional shapes and transform them into boundless three-dimensional creations.
This started as fun project with Danielle and Kavindya, but turned out to be a intense learning experience in which he had the chance to connect findings from the learning sciences, needfinding, quick prototyping and a lot of user testing.
Watch our video and read our paper at the Interaction Design and Children Conference.
machine learning for teachers
Machine Learning for Teachers is a set of activities to help K-12 computer science teachers get familiar with key ideas on machine learning, from both technical and social perspectives.
This proejct was develop in partnership with faculty and graduate students from the School of Education and the Computer Science Department, added to representatives from San Francisco Unified School District. Due to the pandemic, we couldn’t run the activities with SFUSD CS teachers; however, I managed to translate and adapt them to Portuguese and try them out with Brazilian teachers - with whom I learned a lot!
Take a look at the lesson plans and lessons learned from experiencing them with teachers in Brazil.
